Hi my name is Dozer and I’m a Sulcata Tortoise(Geochelone sulcata) from Africa. Erik’s fostering me for the next two years until my owner Josh comes back form Veterinary School. I’ll be 10 x my size by then! I’ll enjoy living with Erik until because he feeds me lots of the veggies that I love to eat!

Hi I’m Mimi and I’m a Mata Mata Turtle (Cheylus Frimbriatus) from the Amazon river in South America! I look very different from other turtles because I have a flat head and a long nose, but it’s to my advantage because most fish can’t see me because I’m a master of camouflage and fish are my favorite food! Erik adopted me four years ago.

Hi my name is poly and I’m a Gopher tortoise! I’ve been living with Erik for two years! He adopted me from a family who had me for more than 35 years! I used to hide in my shell a-lot but I’m not shy anymore and I enjoy meeting people at programs especially when they feed me Grass!

Hi I’m Biggie and I’m a Big Headed Turtle( Platysternon megacephalum) from China! I was donated to Erik last year to help assist with a special project to help our cousins in the mountain streams of China! I really enjoy living with Erik and hope our special project goes well!

Hi my name is Groucho and I’m an Alligator Snapping Turtle(Macrochelys temminckii). I come from the swamps of Louisiana! Erik adopted me three years ago. I enjoy eating all kinds of things including fish and mice. I also have a worm like tongue so I can go fishing! Im ten pounds now but I eat lots of fish and eventually will grow to be more than 200 pounds!
