Erik, The Reptile Edventurer!
My name is Erik Callender, and for the past 10 years I have been performing
Live Reptile shows for Schools, Camps, Birthday parties, Block parties, and Veterinary Hospitals.
I began this life long love at the age of 9 when I found my first toad.
I was fascinated by this odd looking creature and from then on I was inspired to
learn more about these animals.
Since then I have worked in Pet stores, Reptile Museums, volunteered at the Bronx zoo, became a NYS Licensed Veterinary Technician and developed a course based on herpetology (the study of reptiles and amphibians) for Eastern Suffok BOCES animal science program.
I graduated from Stony Brook Univerisity with a bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Environmental Studies in May of 2006..
Now I bring you Erik’s Reptile Edventures Live animal shows!!
This is the most exciting endeavor of my life and
I want to share it with you and spread awareness about our environment
and some of our world’s most fascinating creatures!
As a NYS licensed Veterinary technician and educator for animal science I understand the importance of providing a safe environment for all animals and work hard to maintain excellence in Safety and Care.
